Eligibility Criteria for Qatar Police Jobs

If you don’t meet the criteria, don’t waste your time and money. I have divided it into 3 parts so it’s easy to understand.

General Eligibility

• For technical and experienced posts, they sometimes allow up to 40 years. Age is counted on the last date of application.
• Gender: Both males and females can apply. But 80% of field jobs are for males. Females mostly get office, admin, call center and some investigation work.
• Nationality: First priority is always Qatari nationals. Second is GCC countries. Then comes other nationalities. Pakistanis are hired on 2-3 year contracts. The ad will clearly mention if Pakistanis can apply or not.
• Marital Status: Both single and married can apply. Married people sometimes get family accommodation.

Education Requirement – Post Wise

• For Police Officer, Patrol, Traffic, Security Guard: You need at least Matric or Intermediate. If you have done FA, FSC or BA, that’s a plus. But the main thing they check is your physical fitness.
• To CID Investigator: at least a bachelor’s degree with preferred major in Law, Criminology, Psychology or any other Social Sciences. If you already have any prior experience of working in police or army, or any investigation agencies, please clearly indicate this in your CV.
• For Cybersecurity Specialist: This is new and in demand. You need Diploma or Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or Network Security. Certificates like CCNA, CompTIA Security+, CEH will give you extra points. Even if you have done freelancing in cyber security, add it.
• For Admin and Office Staff: Intermediate with good computer skills. English typing is a must.
• For Driver: Middle pass with valid driving license. GCC or Qatar driving license is preferred. 2-3 years driving experience.
• For Translator: Intermediate + fluency in Urdu, English and Arabic. This is a good post for Pakistanis.

Physical and Other Requirements

This is where most people fail.

• Height: Men 170cm or 5’7”. Women 160cm or 5’3”.
• Chest: Men 80-86cm with expansion.
• Weight: According to height and BMI.
• Eyes: 6/6 no need for glasses: Color blindness is not allowed.
• Language: You should understand basic English. And if you know some Arabic words, it’s a big plus in interview.
• Fitness: You must be able to run, do pushups and situps.
• Background: No criminal record. Clean police clearance certificate is mandatory.

Pro Tip from me: If your passport has less than 2 years validity, renew it now. MOI rejects applications with short validity passports because visa process takes time.

List of Documents You Need to Prepare

Don’t wait for the last date. Start collecting these now. Scan them and make PDFs.

• Updated CV – Keep it to 1 page. Add a professional photo. Don’t make a 3-page CV. No one reads it.
• Passport Copy – First page and last page. Make sure expiry date is at least 2 years away.
• All Educational Certificates – From Matric to highest degree. Get them attested from IBCC and HEC if possible.
• Experience Certificates – If you worked in security, army or police before, this will help a lot.
• 4 Recent Passport Size Photos – White background. No beard for some posts.
• Police Clearance Certificate – Get it from your district police office. It takes 10-15 days.
• Medical Fitness Certificate – From any govt hospital. They check eyes, BP, sugar.
• CNIC Copy – Both sides.
• Driving License Copy – If applying for driver post.

Make one folder on your computer and name it “Qatar Police 2026”.

How You Can Apply for Qatar Police Jobs 2026?

The whole process is online. There is no paper form. And it’s 100% free.

• Visit Official Website: Go to www.moi.gov.qa. This is the only real website. Don’t go to any Facebook page or agent website.
• Create Your Account : Click on “Careers” or “E-Services”. Then “Job Seeker Registration”. Enter your email, phone number and create password. You will get OTP.
• Fill out the Application Form: Be very careful here. Write your name exactly as on passport. Wrong spelling = rejection. Fill education, experience and personal details.
• Upload Documents: Upload all PDFs. Every file should not be larger than 500KB. If it’s bigger, compress it.
• Choose Your Preferred Posts: Maximum 2 posts to select. Make a careful selection. Do not select “Police Officer and Cyber Specialist” if you are not qualified for both.
• Check and confirm: Read everything again. Then hit submit. Download the application form. Print it. Save the reference number. You’ll need it to check status.
• Important Warning: MOI never asks for money. If anyone on WhatsApp or Facebook says “send 2000 QAR for job”, it’s a scam. Report them.

Selection Process

It’s not easy. But it’s fair. There are 5 main stages.

Initial Screening

A computer system checks your age, education and nationality. If you don’t meet it, you get auto-rejected email.

Physical Test – The Toughest Part

Only for field jobs. Held at Doha or other centers.

• 1600 meter run in 8 minutes
• 25 push-ups in 1 minute
• 30 sit-ups in 1 minute
• Long jump and rope climbing
• Medical: Height, weight, chest, eyes, flat feet check

About 60% candidates fail here. So start preparing 2 months before.

Written Examination

100 MCQs: 2 hours.
Subjects: General Knowledge, English Grammar, Basic Math, Arabic Language, and Subject related to post.
For Cyber post: Networking, Linux, Ethical Hacking questions.

Passing marks: 50%

Interview

Panel of 3-4 officers. 10-15 minutes.
They check your confidence, communication and knowledge about Qatar laws.

Final Medical and Training

Selected candidates go for full medical at Hamad Hospital. Then 4 to 6 months training at Qatar Police Academy. You live there. They teach law, drill, weapons, cyber laws etc. After passing training, you get appointment letter.
